Abbott and Costello Go to Mars (1953) will be shown on Svengoolie on MeTV on Saturday, 2 July 2016, at 9PM Central Time. 

Sven hasn't shown this one for quite awhile, so it should count as a new show. 

A&C Go to Mars is my favorite A&C movie because it features a young Martha Hyer, as well as a number of other gorgeous actresses, including Mari Blanchard, Anita Ekberg, and several Miss USA contestants. 

Another poster mentions a fall that Bud Abbott, or his stunrtman, takes out of a truck that looks real, as though someone may actually have gotten hurt in the fall. I don't remember that, but will be watching for it. 

Awesome! This was the first A&C movie I ever saw. I first saw it with my Grandparents in the early 80's. Kinda worried that if I rewatch it again that it won't hold up to the fond memories I have of that time.

This is in my top five A&C movies. I will be watching. I have all of these on dvd but somehow it means more to watch these when on TV....takes me back to being a kid in the late 70's and watching these movies every Saturday morning....

Just watched the scene where Bud's stuntman falls off the truck.

It did look like a real hard fall. He may not have landed properly and been hurt.

It was stated that Costello mentions his hometown of Paterson NJ at least once in every movie, but haven't heard him mention it in A&C go to Mars. Did anyone else hear him mention it?

Wow, what a blast from the past! After they meet Frankenstein, this my fave movie from A&C. Space rocket high-jinks and hot women from Venus. What more can one ask? Thanks, Sven!
