Why 'only' 237 episodes?

Why are there only 237 episodes of "Make Room For Daddy" over the course of 11 seasons? For a comparison;"I Love Lucy" had 234 episodes over 6 seasons and "Leave It To Beaver" also had 234 over 6 seasons.

Simple. There are only 237 listed on IMDB, but clearly there are many missing. One season actually shows only 2 episodes listed.

TV.com lists 330 episodes, an average of 30 per season, which was typical back then.

That's very strange. I have the complete series set of "I Love Lucy" which also includes all of The Luct-Desi Comedy Hour episodes and it says

"All 192 episodes".

They're counting the pilot episode in that number.

So there were actually 194 episodes of "I Love Lucy" if you count the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour in the episode count.

Otherwise, there's only 178 episodes of "I Love Lucy" (under the "I Love Lucy" title). which is what you're counting since you said in the 6 seasons. (LDCH was season 7 through 9)

UNLESS the I Love Lucy COMPLETE SERIES dvd set is MISSING 54 episodes of I Love Lucy.
