This is being shown in COZI TV now. I just can't imagine how parents can leave their kids for 6 months to wonder around Europe. That didn't make sense. Maybe I missed the episode where they explained why they decided to do that.

Also... when they returned it seemed like Charlie and Bunny's baby had disappeared from the show. They lived with Linda and Rusty while Danny and Cathy were in Europe. But there was very little (if any) mention of their baby. And when Danny and Cathy returned there was no sign of the baby at all.

That season was so confusing

I recall it was a test to see if Charley and Bunny could carry a series of their own after MRFD went off the air.

And I agree it's bad parenting, but Lucy left her son also to go on Ricky's European tour.

I found it to be very sill too. But its similar to I Love Lucy when Lucy and Ricky left Little Ricky behind when they took a months long tour of Europe as well. I know the reason Danny and Kathy left on the trip is due to the fact they were both tired in real life and wanted to cut back on the episodes. The show finally ended a year later so they could rest.

Yes, I believe Thomas ended the show on his own terms too because he was so exhausted.
