is the episode list on IMDB correct because it shows 36 episodes in season 1 and 35 episodes in season 2 and the season 1 and 2 box sets only have 30 episodes in each from what i've read. It annoys me when they put in select episodes they WANT to show and dont actually give you a real season. so are the dvd's complete and if not will they fix this in later dvd releases.

i also want to know are they planning to release seasons 3-8 this is my mothers FAVORITE SHOW OF ALL TIME!! and i would love to be able to get her the entire series on dvd eventually instead of random box sets that you buy at the store for like $10 which only have a few select episodes that are copied in half a dozen other box sets that have been released (it really annoys me when there is no real seasonal release and you have to keep buying the same episodes over and over just to get a few new episodes)

These shows are from the early 1953-55 and have rarely been seen since; several episodes are believed to be lost so there is no way possible to have a "complete" Loretta Young Show collection. The boxed sets that have 30 episodes in them are authorized by the Loretta Young Estate and feature an introduction by her son Christopher as well as home movie footage of the family and candid footage shot by Loretta during the filming of a few of her movies. It's not a matter of them NOT wanting to put the full season out on dvd but they CAN'T because many episodes just don't exist anymore. While it's possible years from now a few lost episodes may resurface, if you are waiting for a "complete" season of the Loretta Young show from these early years you might as well give up because it's unlikely to ever happen. This is the best that can be done at this time - and if the first two seasons aren't selling well enough they certainly won't get around to releasing the later ones.
