Greetings. I watched this show when I was quite young (4 or 5), and the only episodes I remember involve a walking "clock monster", and another episode where a boy is kidnapped by Indians, inhales some sort of powder from a fire, and is turned into a girl. I am curious if anyone can shed some light on either of these episodes (and are they available for purchase anywhere). Thank you! LST
shareI have seen many of these shows and don't recall those episodes. There is an episode of The Shirley Temple show, in color and available on dvd, called The Terrible Clocksman. It was based, I think, on a Jules Verne story. It is about a clock who is turned into a man and he terrorizes a village. It was very good. Maybe you are thinking of that show?
shareOur memories play tricks on us over time. What you are describing almost sounds like episodes from either the Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits. I don't know for sure because I was a little kid when this show was on. Mom liked watching it but I don't remember any episodes.
The story lines you mention here just don't sound like the Loretta Young Show to me. Besides the Twilight Zone and Outer Limits there were many other less known shows like that on TV back during that time.
I have the Terrible Clocksman together with the House of 7 Gables on a DVD. I never watched the former so now I'm intrigued to do so.
