Una Merkel as a Nun

I remember the first time I saw WITH A SONG IN MY HEART and I was shocked to see the delightful comedienne Una Merkel in this movie, I was shocked because (A) I was only familiar with Una in 1930's and early 1940's movies at the time and had never seen her in anything past that era (B) Una was famous for her wisecracking support while here as a nun she is simply as a pleasant, rather quiet minor character in the film. I've always been one in favor of letting actors branch out and not just play the expected type of role but it was still a bit of a jarring surprise to see Una in this however I love this actress and she is always a welcome presence in any film, including the atypical role in this film.
