About the DVD spoilers

Does anyone know if the DVD contains another couple? I remember seeing this on TV and they were showing a Ma & Pa Kettle type of couple, but this couple was delelted from the original movie. I was wondering if they were on the DVD? Maybe as a delelted scene or something? It was my favorite part.
The wife had a neighbor man flirting with her and he would say "If you weren't married..." When she got the letter saying she wasn't married she didn't have her glasses and asked the neighbor to read it to her. He read it, panicked and said something like "Junk mail" and threw it to the hogs. It was hilarious.
I would love to have it on DVD. Thanks.

Not on the DVD I just watched - that couple and/or scene isn't on it.

Darn! Thank you for letting me know though.

New answer to an old question. I was looking on Amazon. There was a segment with
Walter Brennan and Hope Emmerson. It was cut out of the DVD, for whatever reason.
( I think that Fox decided that they were not "good looking" enough, to fit in with the rest of the cast, for the DVD release ) That clip can be found in
" Hidden Hollywood "

The Walter Brennan-Hope Emerson segment was not cut out of the DVD. It was never in the movie in the first place.

The segment was filmed, and apparently it still exists, but the studio decided to cut it before the movie was released, apparently because they thought the film ran too long. (Personally I would have cut the Eddie Bracken/Mitzi Gaynor segment, which is both dull and cutesy.) It was not in the VHS version either. It would seem a natural for inclusion on the DVD, but unless it's been put into the latest DVD/Blu-ray release, Fox isn't making it available.

It is rather curious that the deleted scene with Walter Brennan was apparently included on a TV broadcast (see the first post) but never included on any video release.

Movie girl: I think they made a mistake there. I would love to see the segment with Walter Brennan and Hope Emerson. I like them very much too.
