Which version to watch?

The Criterion blu-ray has two versions -- the 1952 European version and the 1955 version. And then you have the 1992 version released on blu-ray in France. Does anybody have a favorite?

I would go for the 1952 version.

The American cut is a compromised version done at the behest of the studio
