film has been in the public domain since 1980.Dvd in the pal or ntsc format.full color-widescreen-hi fi stereo-all three film panels are in in the dvd.Other cinerama films available: cinerama holiday (2 disc special edition:seven wonders of the world -2 disc special edition (also available in the german language)Windjammer (2 disc with 2 hours of extras-mostly cinerama related)also available in the german language.russian adventure (said to be the only english language version in the world.

I am very interested in buying this film on dvd. Please reply so I can do it. Thanks. I would be interested in the ntsc format. I already own "Seven Wonders of the World" and "Windjammer" in both the German and English versions, which I believe must have been from you. I've actually written several messages regarding this and am extremely anxious to hear from you so I can buy it. Thanks.

Wow! I'm shocked. I have been checking my e-mail every day. Wonder why it's not coming through. As you see, I am extremely interested in purchasing this film and would like to get full details so I can make plans to get that into my collection. dont have the time to type in all the details here as I work from 10am to 9pm 5 days and sat nights so very litle time weekdays.let me know what films you are after.We sell This is cinerama-windjammer (2 disc)-seven wonders of the world (2 disc) cinerama holiday (2 disc) russian adventure.I rarely use imbd site so see if you can resolve the email problem

I and many others have tried to reach this person (grandeur70 etc.) and have been unable to do so. However, I would be interested in getting the DVD of this or any other Cinerama films... saw it in Cinerama in Seattle in 2003 and will never forget it.

There is a documented problem between hotmail and yahoo. I've seen it myself, emails just go into a void, never to see the light of day again.

Have you heard any news of any "Smilebox" Blu-Ray releases of any of the other Cinerama films? "How the West Was Won" was simply a revelation of how to transfer a disk to DVD. It was MARVELOUS! I can't imagine they'd go to all that work to invent a way to transfer wide curved screen movies to DVD and only do it for one release!

Excuse me, but why on earth would anyone enjoy watching this film on DVD?

For educational purposes or out of interest.
It's not like we all have a local cinerama theater nearby, but many would still be interested in the contents of the film.
