shareI noticed him right away by his voice. During the end gunfight I kept saying to myself, "don't kill Davy Crockett!" I'm glad his character surrendered. LOL.

Me too! But he made it! His IMDB bio says this was his first movie, but several others are listed before Springfield Rifle. He certainly had a distinctive voice. And, from what I've read, an all-around nice guy. Made decent wine, too!
