Best LIne

The best line comes right at the end of the movie when Edna(Teresa Wright) tells Alan(Ray Milland): "You can't have everything in this world, you know."

That line said a lot as did her next line: "By the way, did Crawley give up that Egyptian campaign?"

IMO, this wraps the movie up nicely. It means she knew about Alan and Jenny(Joan Fontaine.) It also strongly hints that their marriage will now be happy.
