Begin the Beguine

What a fantastic number this was. And Eleanor Powell cannot only dance (as good as Fred imo) well, she's also, at 28, very beautiful.

One of the best parts about this number was the Black and White Cinematography. It rivals a 1941 film called "Sun Valley Serenade." I'm referring to Sonja Henie's marvelous ice-skating routine which ended the movie.

I hope you've realized by now that you've gotten the wrong movie. "She's Working Her Way Through College" is NOT in B/W....and has NO Cole Porter songs. It does not star Eleanor Powell nor Fred Astaire. It also has nothing to do with "Sun Valley Serenade". You are seriously misguided.

Yeah, she's thinking of "Broadway Melody of 1940." Don't know how her post ended up here.

I must have had several windows open at the time and got my hands crossed. No use in deleting it now.

Actually,I don't have this (She's Working Her Way Through College) movie. I downloaded "She's Back On Broadway" from emule recently but "She's Working Her Way Through college" was not available. I haven't seen it for probably more than 50 years. I love Virginia Mayo and would love to see it again.
