Odd tagline for the film

The tagline for this movie is "How much does it take for a Woman to Sellout her Man?". As anyone who has seen it knows there is absolutely nothing in the plot about a woman selling out a man. The sellout is the county prosecutor, Walter Pidgeon's son-in-law, failing to pursue a case in order to advance his career.

SPOILER: Or, is the sellout is the newspaper editor, Haven Allridge (Walter Pidgeon), who bows to pressure from Sheriff Burke et al, drops his anti-corruption crusade, and takes an out-of-state newspaper job? The movie is a bit ambiguous as to whom the title refers to.
