Room For One More -- Availability

Does anyone out there know if the Cary Grant movie "Room For One More" is available in Video format? I've been looking all over for a copy so I can show it to my grandchildren. It was one of my favorites as a child.

I've been looking for that movie for a long time and can't seem to find it either. I found a guy on the internet who had every Cary Grant movie. He said he would make me a copy and send it out, but after his surgery. Well, either he didn't do so well in his surgery, or he forgot. I lost the ctc info, so I never heard from him again. I'll look again.

It was a fantastic movie. I can't believe nobody's heard of it.

I absolutely loved this movie too and have searched the web for copies - to no avail.
I understood this movie wasn't popular enough to be put on video. Is the one for $10.60 recorded from TV?

I have a copy of the DVD from the source I mentioned above. Its a plain DVD (no disc art, it comes in a CD case, not a DVD case, no box art).

It appears to have been copied from a TV showing of the movie, with commercial breaks edited out (there are some abrupt scene changes).

Seems like I read someplace the actual running time of the original movie was somewhat longer than the approx. 90 minutes on the DVD, which leads me to believe perhaps some parts are missing.

I've also read that perhaps the broadcast from which the DVD was made, might have left the movie running during commercials, which would also explain the abrupt scene changes.

Having said all that, I still enjoy the movie on DVD, with all its faults. Its a wonderful story (see my comments in the comments section).

You can go to Moviehunter.com and tell them what movie you are looking for and your telephone number, they will get back to you! I was looking for Dark at the top of the Stairs and they found it for me, They also can get this movie, which I want also! The movies cost $45.00 plus s&h of 5.95. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads-up on this . . . it's one of my favorite movies and almost the only one I don't have in my C. Grant coll. of videos. I don't know if I want to pay $50 for it - but I'll see.

Well I found a copy!!! For $15 - Ship $5 + tax. Go to Classicflix.com (no affliation, etc.) It was copied from a collecter's copy supposedly. A few abrupt scene changes and a reel change logo - but it was as I remembered it. Did not play in my computer DVD drive but worked fine in my portable DVD player.
