'Trivia' entry stolen from TV Guide! Pathetic.

Whoever wrote the lone entry in the "Trivia" section ("This imaginative but prolix film contained no gadgetry or spaceships") stole that line almost exactly verbatim from the old description of this movie in TV Guide. Try writing something original next time.

Two-and-a-half years later... After revisiting this site, I decided to notify IMDb of this plagiarism and as a result they have removed the offending trivia entry...which, in any event, was inaccurate because there is gadgetry in this film: the "hydrogen valve" and related communications equipment.

Thanks! The result of a misspent youth. But I remembered the line because it was the first time I'd ever heard the word "prolix".

Homer Simpson was right: you can learn from reading TV Guide!

The synopsis currently used by Xfinity (COMCAST) reads: "Red Planet Mars (1952) Peter Graves Andrea King ** Imaginative but prolix futuristic film. Contains no gadgetry or spaceships."

Whoever wrote the original TV Guide description was a genius! Nothing could be written to top it or better describe this movie. Those 10 little words will live on.

I hope he or she got the afternoon off.

And got some Pi as well.

After all, TV Guide writers, like space scientists, have to work 22/7.

"22/7"

Two hours for a part-time real job.

Mmm...Pi
