I've never seen this film before and it is now showing on TCM. Ironically, I just got back from my first-ever trip to Ireland and we had a too-short visit to Galway, where some scenes were filmed. I wish I had had enough time to find some of the locations, but didn't have enough time. But Ireland is BEAUTIFUL.
shareYou have to go to Cong. CIE includes it on some of their tours. It is worth it.

On my rather extensive visit to Ireland, I did find Galway to be generally quite beautiful, but so was the majority of the countryside we saw.
