Am I the only one?

And look out for Guinness jr.

I first saw this on TV in the mid 90s and became instantly enchanted by it. It's not a GREAT film by any means but it's very satisfying and enjoyable. It's also one of the few films which features Alec Guinness as a romantic lead (but still an interesting Guinness character). I'd love to see it out on DVD.

I have a copy taped off the TV, and I'm very glad I got to see it. It's brilliant. WHEN are we going to get it on DVD!!

Amazon keeps coming up with "sets" of Ealing movies, but the selection is never right and I have read reviews that either the video/audio are terrible and no subtitles! I do wish someone had the brilliant idea of remastering these wonderful movies and do a proper job once and for all!

This actually isn't Ealing. It's streaming on Netflix and Amazon now, as The Card.
