Love it!

Obviously not in the same league as other cinematic Dickens of the time, but hugely enjoyable nonetheless (but I'm a sucker for old British films and Dickens so I was bound to love this!). Great to see it's finally out on DVD.

I saw this film decades ago and saw it again recently. I really enjoyed Donald Wolfit's character- the lawyer for Dodson and Fogg. His bellowing at Mr. Winkle reminded me that he was the model for Albert Finney's "The Dresser." Wolfit could have stopped a train too with that voice! By the way, where can I get the DVD?

I prefer the B&W version of this film rather than the colourized version.

Its that man again!!

I agree, I just saw the colourised version on one of the more obscure Sky channels that put in adverts every 12 minutes lasting five minutes (thank god I had it recorded so I could whizz through them) and I thought i had seen in years ago in black and white. Still very enjoyable.

Watching it now on TV in Englandland,

.

It is still lovely, but I would feel more settled watching it in B/W.

Just purchased a copy on DVD, went for the original B/W, £4 well spent.
