Hepburn and Tracy

I really loved Adam's Rib, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and Pat and Mike (my favorite!). And I liked Desk Set as well.

But I thought Woman of the Year was pretty mediocre, somewhat redeemed because some of it is so stupid that it becomes entertaining in a weird way because you want to find out what happens.

And Woman of the Year us supposed to be one of the classics!

So that makes me wonder about the four Hepburn/Tracy films I haven't seen. I've never heard anybody talk about Keeper of the Flame, Without Love, Sea of Grass or State of the Union as great movies.

Are any of these worth seeing? Or am I pretty much done with Hepburn and Tracy unless I want to watch Pat and Mike over and over again?

Janet! Donkeys!

If you're a true fan of these two wonderful actors and their bodies of work, whether together in a film or separately,  watch ALL of their films.  You have NOTHING to lose because I believe "9-out-of-ten" of their performances throughout their careers is very good to great!

There's no question that some of the films are better than others but all are worthy of a screening. They are decidedly perfect together and bring so much to any of their co-starring roles.

I particularly enjoy this film because it truly shows off some of Kate's actual athletic abilities. I've read
several articles about her upbringing and many interests in athletic pursuits throughout her childhood.

And, I love the roles Kate and Spencer play in this film. It's just a perfect fit and the competitive edge in their energy makes it so much fun to watch.

So, net/net, I highly recommend watching all their films -- at least once!!
