Gee, I wonder where they got the idea for 'Top Secret' ?
I caugh this movie on cable and realized that the makers of Top Secret got teir inspiration. They "borrowed" heavily from this movie right down to the running men dance sequence.
shareI believe it's based on the actor Peter Ortiz's actual exploits. In real life he had been in the Foreign legion. He got captured and escaped and joined the US Marines. He was in the OSS and parachuted intp France and worked undercover. Ortiz is in the John Ford film "Rio Grande" with John Wayne.
