interesting world war 11 thriller with cold war overtones.

I have only seen this film once,it is almost never on tv in the UK.
It is not a straight forward world war 11 spy movie,but seems like it is at first.
It starts in wartime France with OSS operatives and French patriots,but later becomes more interesting and original by asking about the communist influence in the French resistance.
Of course it is not perfect and many might find the story simple but it is an interesting story which could be remade today.
No chance of a DVD I suppose.
