Olive Films will release this on DVD (but no date yet...)

Olive Films, which previously released some 27 Paramount classics, has struck a deal with the studio to release 32 more. Among those scheduled for DVD is My Son John, a movie seldom thought likely to see the light of home video.

As of this date (November 17, 2011), no release date or other details are known. Olive apparently plans to release the films a few at a time, every two or three months, as they did before, so there's no telling how long it'll be before MSJ comes along -- it could be in a few months, or not for over a year. (The first releases are due in February 2012.)

Whenever further information is announced, we'll post it. But barring some unforeseen circumstance -- like Commies blowing up the Olive factory -- this bizarre Cold-War curio is, sooner or later, on its way to DVD. Yay!



Update: As posted on my new thread, the release date for "MSJ" is set for August 21, 2012.
