Making a bad situation worst

Mr Denning Drives North, a title that suggests an innocuous little jaunt to the country in the family jalopy (only this 'jalopy' happens to be a stupendous pearl of a Rolls-Royce!), sort of "The Hugetts Hop it to Eastbourne" - the reality is diametrically the opposite, a taut, fast moving crime story. Wealthy manufacturer John Mills unintentionally causes a homicide & panics. His attempts to dispose of the body goes awry. With his conscience giving him grief he is driven to desperate measures to escape his predicament. Twists & turns at the end.

I kept wanting to shout: 'Let it go for heaven's sake!' He was only making matters worse and beating up that gypsy boy didn't help. I guess he was tormented by his conscience.
