The singing...please make it stop!

I only watched this movie (and not all of it) because Ann Miller is in it and she's delightful and a wonderful dancer, but every time Howard Keel starts to sing I want to throw up. Kathryn Grayson sucks a big one as well. Whoever thought this style of singing was good? I can't believe people would actually pay to sit and listen to this type of horrible caterwauling.
