Identifying 'Kid'

The "kid" you attribute to the qoute "I'm a grape" is John Handley. I am John Handley. I remember that part of the shoot very well. As a matter of fact, I still have a publicity photo of myself in the grape costume (with a small crinkle on the right bottom where I sat down when I was wearing the costume). Feel free to contact me for any further information at [email protected].

Hi Mr. Handley. How wonderful that you got to share a stage with such talents, and in a cute costume too! I must say, you were the funniest part of the whole movie. too cute!

How wonderful to have John Handley post on this board!

I concur, Mr. Handley was cute as 'the grape' in that wonderful film. I'm surprised there isn't more discussion on this board...Everyone did such a wonderful job - I mean, Liz Taylor was only 20! What talent.

That was you? You were great! Today, I saw this movie for the first time ever (it was just on TCM). The kids' recital scene was my favourite part of the film.

Yes, you and the baseball boy really stood out from the crowd. The trap door scene was funny because of you.
