Just wondering if there is much left in gravesend of the original buildings and streets featured? They all look a bit run down, as in most uk towns of that time. I can't seem to find any views on google earth that match.

We'd need somebody in London to chime in and describe how construction about the lower Thames estuary where much of it was shot has I'm sure been paved over. Remember, this was London after the war, and we can be certain there has been much construction since then.

Shad Thames however I think has been preserved. So there's a chance that some of those mews are still about. A website that gives a glimpse can be found here:

You'll find some really find research done there on some location spotting. And its clear that some areas don't exist any more, or perhaps only a singular landmark around a church spire still exists.
