I just watched a, what it seemed, pretty old version of Kvinnors Väntan, and I'm sorry to say it was very poorly translated. Well, if not poorly, insufficent. I recommend any non-Nordic viewers to find an as new version as possible if you plan to see it, since theese tend to be better.
After all, the talking is what it's all about in a Bergman...
I have just watched the Tartan DVD and the sub-titles seemed o.k. to me, but then I don't speak Swedish.
An underrated (and forgotten?) Bergman. Some very good performances by the ladies in it, and especially by Maj-Britt Nilsson
Well worth seeing. Very entertaining. And a 'must' for Bergman fans: 8.5/10
I don't know which copy I have, but yes, the subtitles were... some kind of awful. Next time I have hulu+ activated I plan on seeing if theirs are any better.
