Too many production numbers

I thought it was going to be a drama but then became just cluttered with songs. This may have been a nice dramatic role for Bing but then the story just kind of fizzled out and songs took over and everything was solved magically (his daughter got into the school and his son joined the military and started to love his dad). Ethel Barrymore was wasted in this role.
