role of marshal

Who played the Marshal (a speaking part) in the Tournament sequence? I suspect that it may have been Roy Russell, who played the (uncredited) part of King Leodocrance in "Knights of the Round Table". Whoever he was, I think it's a pity that he was not also used as the Marshal for the final Single Combat sequence instead of Patrick Holt. Excellent though Patrick Holt actually was, as Sir Philip de Malvoisin he was an ally of Brian de Bois-Guilbert and an opponent of Ivanhoe in the tournament at Ashby, and he was ignominiously defeated by Ivanhoe. This hardly made him an impartial referee in the combat between Ivanhoe and Bois-Guilbert.
