I know IMDB can't be wrong, but does she remind you of Joan Plowright - the look, the voice, the ways she says a few words - who played Gwendolyn's mother in the 1976 make of the same movie?

No she doesnt, to me anyway. Her diction is exact, just like Plowrights, though. I am a big fan of both.

I am unaware of any 1976 version.
