Danny and Farley?
I wonder if they had anything going on 'between takes'. But then Farley was openly gay and (I suspect) comtemptuous of such closet cases as Danny.

According to a Danny Kaye biography I read, they didn't get on-or at least Kaye didn't get on with Granger. The song No Two People was originally going to be performed by Granger and Jeanmarie ( which makes sense as the lyrics refer to a loving couple) but Kaye insisted upon singing it so the script was re-written and the number performed as a fantasy/dream sequence.
This particular biography dismisses the rumours about Kaye's sexuality and depicts him as a womaniser-implying that one reason Kaye was not friendly towards Granger was because Danny was at a party with a girlfriend and was annoyed to be spotted by Granger.
Kaye was also ( again according to the book) not at all impressed with Jeanmarie-storming off the set at one point when the actress-who was far from fluent in the English language at the time of filming-struggled to understand the directors instructions.
