Is this difficult to get on DVD?

This was one of my favourite films when I was a child. My mother taped it off TV and I watched it so much I broke the tape. Another favourite childhood film of mine,"Song of the South", I've heard is very, very rare and I was wondering if this was the case with "Hans Christian Andersen".

Captain Bob, I'd much rather have a physical hard copy in my hands than a digital copy.

Sometime ago I was shopping for Halloween candy at Dollar Tree and I found this movie on dvd for $1.00!!. I was so excited. I watched it as soon as I got home. It is just as magical for me as the first time I saw it with my father at the age of seven. Papa, too, was a dreamer. Seeing this movie a few days before the 17th anniversary of his passing brought back so many memories. Danny Kaye was wonderful in the role. I can't even begin to imagine a remake. No actor alive today could do the role as well.
