Are Circus performers that horny in real life?

Don't me get wrong - I love this movie - but I watched it again, recently, and I was struck about how the much the main characters were constantly chasing after each other (except for the bossman, he's got sawdust in his veins, and the clown, but all the women are wondering why not.) The elephant girl is after the bossman, the girl flyer is after the bossman, the elephant trainer is after the elephant girl, and the star male flyer is after the star girl flyer, but in the meantime, he's working his way through the other women in the circus, and the cheater on the mid-way is after the payroll.

Having never been in the inner circle I can't say for sure, but whenever I went to the fair growing up I noticed all the carnie guys were notorious flirts. Always checking out the groups of girls in booty shorts. It was easy to get them to make the ride last longer, uh literal ride, like the Ferris wheel lol. I had friends who partied with them. (I remember one year one of em got arrested for statutory rape, only to find out the girl who accused him lied). They were hot though, not gunna lie. They were also in the states on work visas from South Africa. Not that THAT matters but they were good looking AND had accents :p haha So yeah, the carnies were notorious flirts.

One of the main cornerstones in a circus performer's life is finding a mate. They're kinda funny that way.
