John Mills and Dirk Bogarde

One of the film's arguable attractions is seeing these 2 great actors, woefully miscast playing IRA gunmen. Bogarde in particular, looks (and acts) as if he'd been dragged on the set, kicking and screaming. Mills, while never convincing, at least attempts to carry the role-playing through to the relatively Hollywood happy ending, as a seasoned professional should.🐭
