Thank you FXM...

...for letting us rediscover some early gems. I had no idea that Widmark, Bancroft and Monroe had worked together. I especially enjoyed seeing Anne Bancroft in an early role. Puppy love all over again!

I just finished watching this film. Normally, I'm on and off with Marilyn; she did a good job in this film.

I know I'm probably in a minority, but this is my favorite Marilyn film.

Sure, Some Like It Hot is great! But Don't Bother to Knock is the one I like to watch the most.

I especially like the scene in the dark bedroom where crazy Nell is "explaining" things to Bunny, and that frightened look on Bunny's face as she nods: Yeah, sure, crazy lady, I get it.

And you also got Anne Bancroft, Richard Widmark and Elisha Cook Jr. And Thurston Howell III!

I got it on the DVR and I watched it last night and I've decided not to delete it yet because I might want to watch it again in a few weeks.

Janet! Donkeys!

I have to admit this is the Marilyn film I like.

Sorry for the late response (technical issues on my end). I should get into the habit of reviewing actors' filmographies and catching the gems on my own. Only so many hours in a day, I guess.

This movie left me impressed. I really liked Marilyn Monroe's performance. She shows a very natural ability to play a dark role convincingly.

Roles like this one probably let her tap into her own personal demons.

I love this film & find myself watching it every time I catch it on tv. I've seen it maybe 10 times already. It's so well-done & some of, if not the best of Monroe's acting. I wish she had gotten to do more roles like this one.

What am I always telling you? You must pay no attention to what I say.

My heart went pitter patter over the young Anne Bancroft. I had grown up seeing her mostly in her later years.

I wasn't even thinking about how that was her until I read your post. I've mainly seen her in her later years, as well. She is stunning in this film.

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.
