Just saw this on AMC and loved it. I can't belive this isn't on DVD or video. Does anyone know if this was released on ANY format? I'd like to get a copy of it.

It was released on video like a million years ago. You can find it sometimes on eBay. If they can put Men Behaving Badly and Renegade on DVD, why can't they release this great movie on DVD? What's wrong with this country?

I concur. This is one of my Bogart favorites! Up there with Casablanca, The Big Sleep, High Sierra, and Barefoot Contessa. Deadline USA DOES need a DVD release!

a major bogart flick not on home media - never ceases to amaze me how these things are held up -somebody needs to get this legal tangle straightened up (because that's probably the problem)

I agree this is one of Bogart's finest. I've only managed to see 2/3 of it on AMC. Is there some way that a grassroots campaign get this on DVD? The studios/distributors/whomever are nuts keeping this off home media.

It's unreal the cinematic junk that makes to DVD (with commentaries and all the digital bells-and-whistles) and a film of this quality muddles thru on a cable channel.

I just saw a beautiful new print of the film as part of the 2008 Philadelphia Film Festival. I hope the DVD release is right behind as this is a lost gem!

I just watched this on Turner Classic Movies. The print looked great. I'm sure 20th Century Fox will dig it out of the archives soon and give it the royal treatment.

I just saw it at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago. It was a new 35mm print, and it looked great. I can't believe there's still no DVD.
