Animal abuse!

Well the story was ok but i saw some abuse to the animals they used for the movie! First of all the horse-horses: one scene was with the fire, was clearly closed enough to the horse and they stress it for real!! The other scene was when the two stalions were fighting, well they were fighting for real and it wasn' t so cool at all!! They put two stallions together and they new they' re gonna fight and they sit back watch it and film it.. The last scene also was obviously that the horse was trying hard to swim with the boy in the waves of the sea, they were so closed to drown for real maybe!! Somewhere in the middle of the movie also we see the boy riding the horse chasing a rabbit!! We can not see clearly how stressful was the rabbit but i assume he was in a big agony and not happy at all that was chased by a horse and also we clearly see that sometimes the horse was almost step to the rabbit as it was between horse' s legs.. the worst part was when the boy get down from the horse and he fell on the rabbit' s back!! Was obviously an accident by the boy but all this *beep* was director' s fault!! To not talk about how exsausting must was for the horse chasing it all the time :p
I can understand that in 1950 was difficult to make movies than nowdays specially with animals but i believe director could handle much better the animals than he did!!!
All this shots of the movie showed me that director wanted to finish it quickly without caring for the animals...
