Every time I watch this movie, there is a pirate identified as, I think, Slimy, but there is no pirate of that name in the cast list. He is the one that Humble Bellows sends swimming to pass a message to Baron Gruda. He is important enough to have lines, and to be identified at least twice by name, so I would like to know who the actor is, or what name I have miss-heard all my life.

shareI watched it last night and unfortunately could not figure this out either. TCM did not roll the credits. I tried searching various film sites and could not come up with it. He had a ton of lines! I wonder if he might be Enzo Giobbe?

I looked at the bio for Giobbe on imdb just now, and it seems odd. No birth date is given, but if he was a grown man in 52 to be a crew member, he is very long lived, as it says he is still active in making films, and was in special ops in Vietnam. Wish they had a better bio with dates.
I think this is what you might have to do... I think there is a good chance the actor is one of the ones who are only identified as "Seaman." I found pictures for almost all of these by googling their names. You could open windows with head shots of each of those actors and have them up on your computer while watching the movie again. When Slimy appears on screen you could compare him to each of the photos. If I get time to do it next weekend I might. It's bugging me now, too!
