The one that sticks to the ceiling...
What was the meaning of the line where Robt. Ryan says: Throw 6 women in the air and the one that sticks to the ceiling is the one I want?

Ryan says: Throw 6 women in the air and the one that sticks to the ceiling is the one I want? That was Earl's way of saying no one woman was any different from or better than the rest. It didn't matter which woman a guy ended up with; whichever one was willing to stick around was the 'lucky' lady. Mae was willing to make a go of it with Jerry so she married him even though she didn't love him. Later, she was all set to run off with Earl even though she never liked him and found him crude and distasteful.
