Huge Ambivalence

Film's about the A bombing of Japan horrify and sadden me. Then I pivot to the thought that they started a war with us and caused a tremendous amount of pain and suffering across the globe (20,000,000 Chinese died at their hands) and in turn deserved it. Finally I think of how ending the war ASAP may have been the most humane thing we could have done for them. It is a tough question to grapple with.
