This is a remake of Valley of the Giants 1938

I didn't see it mentioned here or on the Valley of the Giants page either. This film seems to use film footage from the 1938 version with a little rewrite to the script. Alan Hale, Jr plays a similar character to what his Dad played in 1938. I've only caught the last part of this film on TV (twice now) not the beginning but it seems to show less, mill, railroad and wood cutting scenes than the original Valley of the Giants. I liked the Valley of the Giants better
due to it showing more of the mill, railroad, and tree footage. My parents owned an Auto court in Weott in the late 1940's. Those redwoods ARE breath taking!!!
