where was this movie filmed?

Where was The Big Sky filmed? Scenery was beautiful. Sorry, didn't read other reviews. Will have to go to Jackson Hole and Tetons sometime. Has anyone else been? If so, what would you recommend? Would be neat to travel up/down river.

Wyoming & Idaho according to the IMDB.

In Grand Teton National Park, there is a dirt/rocky/long road that leads down to the Snake River, on its West Bank. It offers numerous vistas of the Snake from a shelf above it. Locally and historically, it is called the RKO Road, but the Rangers in the Visitor's Center of GTNP may only know it as the River Road. You should have a high-clearance, 4WD vehicle and about 2 hours to drive this road. I believe that RKO built this road to film "The Big Sky" river scenes. A drive gives you possible sightings of elk, bison, pronghorn, mule deer, bear (north end), and birds of prey hunting along the Snake.

I'm watching this today and thinking that the cast and crew must have worked hard making this movie but had a wonderful time doing it. Wondering where they slept at night, And do they have good memories from the experience? Beautiful movie, well done.
