I'm currently working on my thesis and Big Jim Mc Lain is of the movies I'd like to use for it. Unfortunately I don't have the subtitles but I really need them. Can someone help me finding them or providing me with them??? U would probably spare me a great time !!

Well, I'm sure this is way too late to be of any help, but I was going over this film when I saw your question. At this point, maybe you just want to know what they were saying (sound quality wasn't that good back in he 50s). Netflix does have this movie with subtitles in English.
You probably did what a lot of rock bonds did in the 60s when we were trying to get the words for a new song that was unintelligible ... listen to the damn thing over and over again, write the words down, and if they made sense, we sang it. Mono was the word back then, not stereo, so the quality of a 45 RPM record wasn't very good and after it was played 50 times, it was horrible. If they didn't make sense, we either tried to come up with alternative lyrics or we just slurred the words.
As bad as this film was, I liked it because I lived in Hawaii from 1966 until 1975, and I heard Chief Hiu (who played himself in the film), actually speak, and thought, "Hey - I know an actor!" Also some of the extras in the film were Island celebrities so it was fun.
We discussed this film years later when I was working in Germany - the teacher told us if we "really wanted to see a wooden actor, see this guy who plays the Chief of Police in Big Jim McClain. I told him he wasn't acting - that he was the resl chief of police! He said, "that explains a LOT."
