IMDB message boards going away

Maybe I will be the last person to post here!

I started my account because I wanted to post something in the board for The Al Jolson Story, about the Three Stooges - that's why my user name (larry moe curley shemp joe besser) and my picture ("Curly" Joe DeRita). Someone had started a thread about a line in one of the Stooges shorts - "I can't die now, I haven't seen The Jolson Story!" Having recently watched all the shorts on Antenna TV, I knew there was a similar line in a later, Joe Besser, short, naming another movie about a musician. Because Antenna TV belonged to whatever studio owned everything from Columbia Pictures (Sony, I think), I had seen both movies too. Looking them up on IMDB, I found that each movie was made around the same time as the corresponding short, and I concluded that it was product placement or advertising by Columbia.

Btw, each short and each movie listed the other in its References section.

The OP in that thread knew the line from something by the author of Game of Thrones, and when he heard it in a Stooges short he wondered what was going on.
