Mr. Lincoln (1952) Omnibus series, does it survive?

Does anyone on this forum know if the Mr. Lincoln five-part series featuring Royal Dano from Omnibus (1952) survive in any form? If so, is it on home video? My brother who is a Lincoln scholar, would love to see it. This must be what prompted Walt Disney to hire Royal Dano to do the voice of Lincoln for the 1964 World's Fair exhibit.

Probably not, but not to sure, considering that this was live TV, with pre-recorded film footage - and shown throught the series, don't know what percentage though - some of which a young Mr. Kubrick was second-unti director on!!! But there is a doucmentary on this very SERIES, titled, Omnibus: Television's Golden Age (1999, 100'). OK?

Disney incorporated several minutes of footage from "Mr. Lincoln" into their newly refurbished "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" show at Disneyland. The footage shows Royal Dano's Lincoln in a variety of different scenes, so at least some of the show survives.

The new Lincoln show is quite a treat so I recommend you check it out next time you're in the SoCal area.

I still have a record somewhere of Dano reciting the Gettysburg Address. I hope this Omnibus show survives. They did do kinescopes in those days!

Can anyone think of an actor who looks more like Lincoln?

Have you found out if this series has survived anywhere? I work at Lincoln's New Salem and would love to see these shows.

It does indeed survive and is now available on DVD. Go to Amazon.com and look for:
