GL finale does remarkably well in ratings

GL finale does remarkably well!

The full Nielsen Ratings haven’t all materialized yet, but Suds Report called a few our favourite producers to find out what GL’s finale did. The last week in Springield reportedly netted 1.9 overall! Not bad, huh? Also, although fans are livid over Y&R’s decision to kill off legacy character, Colleen, the top soap earned a 3.6! And GH nabbed third place with a 2.1! Preliminary results suggest that most of the soaps increased their numbers. Get the full list in Soapgeist on Monday.

I did find the numbers on the " We Love Soaps " site. CBS did not put out a press release on it's numbers. I wonder why? Probably feelin guilty!

This is a ridiculous article - a 1.9 is hardly "remarkable well". And I guarantee you that CBS is feeling no guilt over canceling a scripted show that could only get a 1.9 for its finale, after 75 years on the air.

reply

People probably was only watching the show because it was getting canceled. That probably happened to other soaps that got canceled in the past.

reply

I think the " remarkably well! " was probably for the fact the show placed 3rd with the female demographic.

reply

Well doesn't that make my 26+ years as a male viewer seem un-important?!? LOL

"Goodbye, you big, beautiful, blue bitch."

reply

It's pretty bad when a 1.9 rating is considered doing remarkably well. Geez...all those numbers still suck.

What kind of fresh hell is this?

reply

It does suck but GL has been the lowest ever sinse PASSIONS went off the air. It just looked different to see ATWT down under.
