Limp cape

One thing that always annoyed me, even as a kid: shots of Superman flying seem to have a really limp cape, barely fluttering. You'd think they'd at least use a stronger fan to make the cape more taught, like it's really in a strong stream of air caused by traveling faster than a speeding bullet.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I guess maybe they figured the little kiddies wouldn't know enough about physics to figure it out.

Btw, I see you changed your sig. Cute. ☺

Yeah, it looks ridiculous now, but when I was five I never noticed.

I never thought of old shows 'looking ridiculous'....ok...the Nuclear Man fight in Superman VI is pretty bad.....BUT....what I mean is I never looked at these things with that deep of a technical eye. More with an appreciation for the technology of the time, budget, and ability. Yea, it looks like he's laying on a piece of wood but for 1952, that's pretty damn clever. And getting to see the progression of effects thru the years, specifically with Superman, is really enjoyable to see for me. Sometimes I rather have the quaint basic effects of this show over the massive stuff they have now. They all fit their time.

I always hated the cape in general, especially how it sagged in the back
