Hey Nelson Family!

It is high time someone organized and implemented a new, complete DVD set or sets of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. Some digitally remastered copies of these classic episodes would be more than wonderful!

Whatever the snafu is, let's get over it, work through it and share these gems with the world.

We're waiting. :)

Signed,

A Fan.

I agree! There are 435 episodes and I want to see them all!

I totally agree. I'd buy the entire series in a heartbeat.

For some reason David Nelson doesn't want to release the rights to this series. I'm sure it must be for personal reasons. Dave has been through a lot; he was at Ozzie's bedside when Ozzie died and Harriet's too. He had to endure all the nasty rumors started after his brother Rick's death. I heard the legal battles after Rick's death were not resolved until just a couple years back.

The 150 or so episodes that are in public domain are there because David did not renew the copyright for these particular episodes. Infact; I have noticed that every year that goes by more and more episodes show up in public domain. But at that rate we will all be "pushing up daisies" before all 435 episodes are available.

I really hope that sometime soon they will all become available. I'd like to see them all released at one time; it would be expensive; but I would bite the bullet and get them. If they release them a season at a time and the sales drop after a few are released; the company producing them would probably scrap the whole idea.

We should all keep our fingers crossed!

Part of the issue is the music rights. O & H used a lot of music, much more than the average sitcom. It’s a daunting task to negotiate the rights for the hundreds, if not thousands of songs used in the show’s 14 seasons.
