What say you?

Glad you included 'Bingo' - I love the spiralling anarchy at the episode's conclusion, especially the slapstck humiliation endured by the ususlly graceful Hillary.

reply

I also love the one banana, two banana routine in Bingo since it's so obviously illogical.

There were two birthday episodes, Lou's and Hilary's. I love Hilary's, which has that wonderful moment where Mr. Fields is beating the s**t out of Lou, and they cut to Bud who's in distress because he discovers a piece of lint on his jacket. Priceless.

Workin' down on the farm... Mr. Field's gave him a great rundown of what Costello had to do on a farm (as we remember so he could get in good with Hilary's father since he wanted to marry Hilary). Now I'd think that that routine would give Who's On First? a run for its money!

Allegedly Sid Fields wrote his own dialogue for the show and scenes like what to do on a farm highlight his comic overacting talent. I also love his strawberry routine in Lou's Birthday Party.

Hungry is the best episodes containing four classic A&C bits!
Music Lovers also contains The classic Lou fake piano playing.

reply

I also love The Dentist because it has a lot of great routines and there are no dull moments. And as I've posted separately, it has Virginia Christine.

In the second season I like efficiency experts because of Lucille Barkley Annlou going crazy with the roulette wheel. But the best episodes have Stinky and Hillary Brooke in them --- something going to be alright okay ---going to be alright we could be wrong about this when we going to get rid of Uncle Ruperts body Sayest Lou ?
