Need to see this film

I was aboard this vessel during WWII. Although I saw the movie when it came out, evidently it has not made its way to VHS or DVD. Occasionally I will get a note by someone who has seen this film on late night movies, particullarly in the UK.

Any information where this movie has shown or is to be shown will be appreciated.

I was aboard a PC (Patrol Craft) during WWII, and I think the ship in this movie was a PC. I have been looking for a copy of it for a long time, to no avail. I did see it a long time ago on HBO. If you can confirm the type of ship and give any information on where a copy might be located, I'd appreciate it.

My dad met Gary Cooper when he was on a ship used for this film, the USS Roanoke CL-145. I'd love to be able to see this film again and somehow get my dad a copy of it.

I taped this some time ago when it was on TV. It's not too bad a copy ad would be more than glad to make a copy for someone. According to my movie book, a VHS was never made of it. It is Charles Bronson's first movie. One funny thing I noticed is that on one of the test runs (I think with the admiral aboard) Lee Marvin plays a guy on speaker at both ends of the ship, talking to himself. I love this movie and found it very funny. I liked Jack Webb's character as well....taking over as the boxer in the fight when someone was needed. Let me know if you'd like a copy. No charge except for postage and a tape. :)

Was filmed on the USS PC-1168. Don't know if you're still looking but I have a copy on DVD.
